About Us

Capoeira is a Combat Dance that is around 500 years old, originating predominantly from Brazil. It’s a game of skill that combines self-defence fighting techniques, acrobatics, dance and music. Capoeira is characterised by the players’ acrobatic ability, physical skill, flexibility and strength. The infectious musical rhythm to which capoeira is practiced injects a fluidity and grace to this powerful art. It is a way of life for many people around the world today; it must be seen to be believed so come, join us and become a member of our big family but the most importantly have fun! The classes are every Tuesday 7:30-8:30pm at the Prince of Wales Youth Club, 23 Military Rd, Canterbury CT1 1YX.
