About Us
NEW last year! Canterbury Christ Church University NurSoc.
 
Welcome to NurseSoc! We are a Nursing society run by passionate students, looking for
innovative and creative ways to enhance your learning experience whilst you attend
University. We aim to give our members access to subsidised study days with industry
professionals and enhance your future Nursing careers.
We know the demands that studying a health course can bring and we want our members
to know they are not alone in their concerns. There will be opportunities to receive support
from trained peer mentors, but also being a member of NurseSoc will bring you closer to
others in your cohorts from Canterbury or Medway. We are all in this together!
It won’t always be work, the society will host fun events along the way, so our members
have something to look forward to once placements and assignments are done.
We can’t wait to see you sign up and get involved in a society that cares for you, as you care
for others.
 
As a new-ish society we are slowly growing and online events are coming together.
We are a community of nursing students trying to support each other and create a community amongst ourselves. We are geared towards nursing and health-care students but will welcome members from any course!
 
A membership gives you free access to some great online events: specialist speakers, fun tutorials and peer support sessions! We will also be sharing some useful resources so make sure you catch us on social media...

So you can enjoy the full benefits of membership your name, university username, email, and membership status may be shared with the elected committee of this group, the University, and any relevant or affiliated parties such as British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS), other national governing bodies, and Distinctive Bars.  This is to ensure an excellent experience and fulfil our contractual obligations as part of this purchase.

Medical Disclaimer

When purchasing your membership, we need you to share any pre-existing medical conditions, illnesses or injuries by completing this form. This will enable us to provide support to you throughout your time involved in sports clubs and societies. We need you to keep us updated if any circumstances change. 

Once you have shared this information, we will ask you to gather medical evidence showing that doctors have signed you off and have given you the go ahead to participate. It helps us work with our insurance provider to ensure we are all covered and of staff to make sure your needs are met. If you need support in gathering the medical evidence, then a member of staff can contact you, once you have completed the form.

Any information you give us will only be shared with Christ Church Sport, Christ Church Students’ Union, and the president of your committee. This helps ensure your safety and risk assessments to mitigate any issues.
