President of the Week!

It's that exciting time of the week again...

Georgina Parker - Netball

I have always enjoyed playing sport throughout school, competing on the netball, rounders and athletics teams. However, growing up my main passion was always for Netball! I have been playing netball since the age of 8 and have played every season since! I have always loved playing netball in various teams and in every type of weather. I’ve always played for my school team as well as for my local home team, Hillcrest Netball Club, in the Surrey Leagues.

I am currently in my third year at CCCU studying Sport and Exercise Psychology. I am hoping to progress into more Exercise Psychology once I have graduated, looking into the benefits of exercise for people with mental health concerns.

Since being at CCCU I have always played in our second team in mid-court and have loved every second! I believe all our teams are extremely strong this year and have all been working hard together in order to progress as a team and as a club after every game and training, working towards our Varsity matches!

My goal for netball this year is to boost our commitment, fitness and teamwork at training in order to improve our game play throughout our leagues and for Varsity(!!) whilst ensuring everyone enjoys playing for CCCU Netball!

It has been amazing playing for C4 Netball for 3 years and I am so proud of all the C4 Netball girls and how far we’ve come already. I am looking forward to my last year here in Canterbury and hoping it will be our most successful year yet!
