This week it is the one and only...
Jordan Howard - Men's Cricket

I first played cricket at school during the summer terms and found I had a passion for it, after joining my first real club at 15, I have played in about every role the game has to offer, from opening the batting to opening the bowling and more recently keeping wicket. I currently play for a small club near where I live called Eynsford CC.
Since joining university, I have achieved many feats, including taking 6 wickets in my first ever game for Christ Church, including my own personal highlight of winning an unbeaten league championship and varsity double during my time as second team captain.
At the end of last year I was elected president of the cricket club and have been working towards the success of the club. So far during my presidency, we have won the 2 top divisions in the Canterbury district ECB competition, recorded 3 wins over UKC teams and despite being knocked out in the quarters of the Kent finals we are still ranked within the top 50 clubs in the country. We have also won our BUCS indoor group and are ranked within the top 16 university sides in the country with the real possibility of going into the last 8 and beyond.
My hopes for the club in the future are that we can maintain the success we have found in the last few years and even go further. Since last year, I believe the club is at a higher level than it was last year, with other 30 boys in the club. Our goals this year is to reach a national final after narrowly missing out in both BUCS and the ECB competition (being knocked out in the semis in both and being ranked joint 5th by both organisations), getting the first team into the premier league after missing out on promotion narrowly twice and securing a third straight promotion for the 2nd XI (who haven’t lost a game since May 2015).
