Housing and Opportunities Fayre

This year the Students’ Union and Homestamp are hosting the Housing and Opportunities Fayre, which includes Housing, Societies and Volunteering and replaces the traditional Housing Fayre and Refreshers Fayre.

Landlords, Charities, and Student Societies

We have a number of local landlords and agents with properties for 2018-19 available and we also have a number of local charities looking for volunteers. So if you are thinking what to do with yourself next year, join a society or volunteer with a charity and if you're wondering where to live then come on down and meet some potential landlords.

Charities attending include Marie Curie, Nightline, Catching Lives, British Red Cross, Shaw Trust and Gulbenkian plus many others.

Commerical Businesses include Dominos Pizza, Kaspas, Longleys, Leydon's Lettings, Innocent Drinks and RSPB.

Societies attending include Creative Writing Society, Spanish Society, Airsofting, Dungeons and Dragons Society, MidSoc, C4 Self Defence and Wellbeing, CCCU Uni Boob Team, Video Games and Tabletop Society (VGTS), CCSU Labour Society, Performance Society, Disney Appreciation Society, Show Choir, Karaoke & Lipsync Society, and UKC & CCCU Zouk Society.

Win a week's free rent!

Students can also win a week’s free rent if they attend the fayre by signing up to Homestamp the Housing Accreditation scheme.

They shall be on hand with advice about renting in the private sector and there will also be a handy list of the the accredited landlords and agents who attend and how much there admin fees and deposits are so you know up front how much it is likely to cost you. Don't worry no money changes hands on the day it is just a chance to arrange viewings to see the properties you like.
