Hey everyone,
We’ve had such a fun and amazing start to this academic year and I want to share with you what I’ve been getting up to!
It's been a jam packed few months for our Clubs and Societies from BUCS Wednesdays to Thursday Takeovers. I’ve particularly loved working alongside some of our Clubs to create some really successful charity events, specifically Movember! The Movember events ran super smoothly especially ‘Movember X Varsity” and the Fundraiser joint with CCCU Men’s Rugby. The annual ‘I’m a Social Sec…Get Me Out of Here!’ was also successful with CCCU Men’s Football crowned our King of the Jungle!
I have also begun working on my Women in Sport campaign with lots of exciting things that are currently in the works so keep a look out for that!
Over in the BUCS leagues we have had some great success that I have no doubt will spill over into 2025. CCCU Men’s Tennis are currently undefeated and are hoping to keep that streak alive and Women’s sport has been flourishing which can be seen from the Team of the week awards. I have loved supporting and following all teams and can’t wait to continue doing so!
As I look to the new year I’m looking forward to launching new campaigns particularly focusing on how to balance your academic life with your student life and prioritising your well-being during exam periods. We also have the return of Varsity that as always is looking to be an incredible event. I’m super excited to be back and can’t wait to share more of what I’m getting up to with you in the term!
