Not voting in the Student Elections? These are probably the reasons why....
Because you don’t care about funding for sports teams.
The President (Sport)works with all sports teams on a daily basis and ensures that the teams get funding, use of piches, transport, training, and a whole lot more.
They also help set up new clubs, arrange Varsity, and the Sports Federation Dinner, as well as putting on a variety of fundraising events.
You also don’t care if the academic resources you need are available.
President (Education & Wellbeing) represents students on many University boards and committees ensuring that the student voice is given a fair hearing which in the past has ensured 24 hour library opening during exam times and that the resources available are in line with students' expectations and the fees they pay.
Who needs to make new friends?
Societies are a great chance to meet fellow students with the same interests be it the Accounting Society or the Zombie Apocalypse Society. You don't need friends and don't think anyone else does? A great President (Student Activities) means an active range of societies, which means more opportunities for students to get involved.
You don't care about your student experience
I can't believe that these
elected officers want to make your time at University better!
You absolutely don’t care about student politics
Who cares about student rights, support, welfare, representation, equality? Where did those things ever get us?
You don't care because you have nothing to do with CCSU and it does nothing for you.
You've never attended Freshers' Week, Course Rep Training, the Summer Ball. You've never asked for advice. You're not in a society or sports team. You've never been to The Lounge. You've never bought an NUS Extra discount card. No need to
vote as you don't have to care.
