We have had such a busy week with Student Voice. We wanted to share some of the great things that our students have been up to...
Mon 16th Oct - Restart a Heart Day at Medway Campus and the CPR Marathon.
Our wonderful Paramedic Society hosted a CPR'athon as part of the British Heart Foundation Restart a Heart Day. Whilst two willing volunteers ran a marathon around the Medway Campus our Paramedic Students did continuous CPR on our interactive training mannequins for the entire time the runners were out. A total of 4 hours and 35 mins. Well done to all involved.
Wed 18th Oct - International Day of Action for Academic Integrity at Touchdown, Canterbury and Augustine House
This day was all about raising awareness about Academic Integrity, encouraging students to write their assignments themselves, not to plagiarise, not to copy and paste from the internet and certainly not to pay anyone to do the work for them. We were also alerting students to the dangers of Essay Mill companies who will track you down on Socials, looking very legit with CCCU logos, but actually just asking for money to do the work for you. We did lecture shoutouts throughout the day and asked students to pledge to write their degree fair and square.
Thu 19th Oct - Got Enough on Your Plate? In the New SU, Anselm, Canterbury Campus
This was a sabbatical officer-led campaign about encouraging students to make healthy choices around food and learn about saving money, healthy habits and environmentally friendly choices. With over 400 students through the new SU over the lunch break it was a great success with lots of games played and prizes won.
