We asked for suggestions on social media and here's what came back.
Earlier this year we took delivery of two shiny new minibuses, or people carriers to be exact, which are used by our sports teams and societies, and we need to name them.
Why do they need names?
We moved over from one large 16 seater bus to two smaller 8 seaters and we've run into a problem... they're identical and people keep getting them mixed up! We'll get the names printed on the bonnets so that people can tell them apart... and it'll be fun for them to have proper names rather than 'Bus 1' and 'Bus 2'.
What should we call them?
We're going to get the names put on the vehicles so we took to social media on Facebook and Twitter to ask for suggestions.
Help us name our two minibuses! ???? Name a more iconic duo.. We'll wait.

Which one will we choose? Here's our reactions to your suggestions
Bodger and Badger
A solid choice this especially as we had Bodger and Badger at the SU in 2005
Posh and Becks
Not sure if they'd be seen in our Toyotas...
Chas and Dave
We could go 'Down to Margate' in the buses.... #dadjoke
Near and Miss
All our driver has minibus training and tests before they can drive so fingers crossed this is ironic.
Derek and Rodney
You plonker!
Laverne and Shirley
You know.... late 70s.. early 80s.... yeah?
Stu and Uni
We can see what they're trying to do here... but they're our buses!!
Tom and Jerry
Characters probably 'of a time' and maybe a bit too violent.
Batman & Robin
Not quite the batmobile....
Holmes and Watson
Probably a little more Oxbridge than CCCU....
Ren & Stimpy
The animation scared us a little to be honest....
Romeo and Juliet
It didn't end too well for them did it?
Mulder and Scully
Nice! A good gender ratio plus X-files was amazing!
Adam and Tona
Who suggested this? We'll have no preferential treatment of naming buses after members of SU staff.
Ere-bus and Corym-bus
We can see what's going on here, but in all honesty it's a bit too above us, and we'd definitely be forgeting how to spell these.
Re-bus and Rhom-bus
See above...
Laurel and Hardy
That's another fine mess you've got us into...
Risk and Assessment
This is too true!
Dastardly and Muttley
Hopefully no wacky races for our buses.
Chip and Dale
Chip and Dale... C4 Rangers!
Thelma and Louise
You know how this films ends right?
Marie Curie and Pierre Curie
We like this one! Some proper do gooders.
Spongebob and Patrick
The buses are waterproof right?
Bert and Ernie
Hey Bert! Hey Ernie!
Morecambe and Wise
“I always take my wife morning tea in my pyjamas, but is she grateful? No. She says she’d rather have it in a cup.”
Hinge and Bracket
Gonna have to admit that we had to google this....
Bill and Ben
We don't want soil in our buses so clean your boots and definitely no Flowerpot Men!
Wallace and Gromit
We're wondering if there are any copyright issues if we use these? They are cracking names though!
What next?
Than for all your suggestions... we won't be having a Boaty McBoatface situation here at Christ Church... but we'll let you know what names get chosen.
