Brazilian Zouk Society

Calling all dancers! Whether you are already a pro-dancer or just want to try something new and learn some sassy dance moves to impress on the dance floor; Zouk is the dance for you! We are the only joint society between Christ Church University and Kent University and welcome all abilities, student and non-student. Come along to our weekly classes to transform from an enthusiastic dad dancer to a zouk aficionado.

Zouk, whilst a relatively new style of dance, is a Brazilian partner dance focusing on the flow and dance connection between partners. It is a sensual social dance comprising of flowing movements and elegant spins; it is also the only dance to have spins which are off axis (not as complex as you think!).

We are a friendly bunch of enthusiasts and organise regular social events, trips to London to take part in lessons from professionals and some professionals even come and teach us here in Canterbury. We look forward to seeing you in class!
