WE DONE IT!

One of my key manifesto points was to work with the University to extend the 24hr library service and this is something both me and Phil Semmens (President Education & Wellbeing) put as a high priority.

It’s common knowledge that students want the library open 24hrs during busy periods and feedback from Challenge Us, Fill Us In and the National Student Survey (NSS) showed that students need the library during assignment deadlines. Our own internal research over the summer found that November and December were these key periods and the library was not open 24hrs.

We are excited  to announce that after bringing our research to the Students’ Union and University Partnership Forum (SUUPF) we have been successful in extending the opening hours to 24 hours throughout the months of November and December!
