We're happy to announce that Canterbury Nightline, a student-run listening service supporting students at Canterbury Christ Church University and the University of Kent, will be launching on Friday 9th February. It will currently be running only at weekends but will be expanding further once the volunteer base has grown.
What is Nightline?
Nightline is a listening service. It offers support and information to callers during hours when other support services are usually closed. Nightline does not offer advice or opinions so you are free to talk about anything on your mind without the fear of being judged. The service is also completely anonymous and confidential, meaning whatever you say will not be passed on to university staff or students. Nightlines have operated at universities across the country since the early 1970s. The Nightline Association is the charity formed to support Nightlines and share best practice.
