We happy to announce that the Christ Church Student Minds society have won best new group at the Student Minds Awards 2017 which aims to celebrate volunteers' achievements over the last academic year. Student Minds is the UK’s student mental health charity which empowers students and members of the university community to develop the knowledge, confidence and skills to look after their own mental health, support others and create change. Christ Church Students Minds were only formed this year but now have over 30 paid-up members and have run a number of successful events throughout the year such as Combat the Stigma, World Mental Health Day and University Mental Health Day, and are working on some exciting projects including setting up a Canterbury Nightline and passing a Mental Health Policy through Christ Church Students' Union.

This isn't the first award they have won this year and they also won the Society of the Year award at the Student Activities Awards in March, so the future is looking bright for them.
