We're Christ Church Students' Union (CCSU) and are run by students for students.

Every student at Canterbury Christ Church University is automatically a member of CCSU, which means every single student is a part of something special - with a backstage pass to a whole world of opportunities!

When you first arrive there's a lot to take in, so come along to some events, have fun and make friends. Once you're settled in there are lots of ways for you to get involved; from becoming a course rep, to joining a society, playing competitive sport, or even becoming a trustee of the Union.

But first - let's do some fun stuff!

Your Questions Answered

What is Welcome Week?

Welcome Week is a week packed with fun events, activities and opportunities to meet new friends, designed to help you settle into University. It takes place at the beginning of the academic year from 16th - 22nd September. Check out our events page to see what we’ve got planned!

Who can come to the events?

Any CCCU student is welcome to attend our events - whether you’re a first year or final year student! Some events are ticketed, so it’s best to check our events page to secure your place.

Where’s the best place to find out about sports clubs and societies?

Come along to our Welcome Fairs! There’s one in Canterbury and one in Medway.

Of you only attend one daytime event all week, make sure it’s the Christ Church Students’ Union Welcome Fair in Canterbury on Wednesday 18th September from 10am – 3pm. All of our sports clubs and societies will be there, in addition to local businesses, and a shedload of national organisations giving away more free goodies than you can handle!
