Personal Development Week 2018

University isn't just about attending lectures and studying and that's why Personal Development Week on 22-26 January has been introduced.

What is Personal Development Week?

This is a week which provides time aside from your studies to enable you to try something new and develop your skills - from enhancing your employability and preparing for a career, to trying a new social or sports activity or getting involved in volunteering.

When is it?

Personal Development Week is for all undergraduates and runs from Monday 22nd to Friday 26th January 2018.

What's planned?

The are lots of events planned for students at Christ Church and you can see the whole list here plus we'll be promoting our own events too.

Monday 22 January - Elections Open!

We’re looking for students who can champion student causes, represent the student body and campaign for change. Sound like you? Want to work full-time with us from July 2018-July 2019? Get involved and become a Sabbatical Officer. Nominations open 22nd January so visit ccsu.co.uk/elections and find out more.

Tuesday 23 January -  Housing and Opportunities Fayre

On Tuesday 23rd January come along to the Housing and Opportunities Fayre and not only find a place to live for 2018/19 but also meet the SU societies and find out about volunteering too. Join the event on Facebook for the latest information.

Wednesday 24 January - Get Behind #TeamChristChurch

With the sports Varsity against University of Kent taking place 8th-14th February show your support for our teams and come along to the matches on 24th January to practice your cheers and whooping! Not only can you watch some quality sport but you may also feel inspired and sign up too!

Thursday 25 January - Annual Members Meeting

As a democratic organisation we hold our ‘AMM’ as an opportunity for students to understand how the union spends it money, approve affiliations to other organisations and hear from elected officers their achievements. Friday 26 January - Summer Ball Launch

We'll be revealing some of our acts on this date! There's lots going on behind the scenes so we'll see what else we can bring you!!

Limited “Really Early Bird” tickets are on sale now for the Christ Church Summer Ball which will be on Sat 19th May 2018. Come along and celebrate the end of year in style on the grounds of the former Canterbury Prison.
